The Satit Demonstration School of Udon Thani Rajabhat University (UDRU) is one of the best places where a student can learn to know, learn to do, learn to be, learn to live together and learn to transform. It is a privilege and an honor to be part of this prestigious school.
About Satit Demonstration School
The Satit Demonstration School is located at 64 Taharn Road, Meuang, Udon Thani. It is located inside UDRU, the prestigious University of Udon Thani. The Satit Demonstration School views the school as a community for the glorification of Thailand.
It is now organized into 3 sections, namely, Pre-school, Primary, and Secondary.
History
It was established on December 26, 2011 by the UDRU Council. They then declared Satit UDRU as one of the UDRU Faculty.
Their first semester started on October 1, 2012 which included the transferring of all of the students, and some of the Kindergarten Demonstration School of UDRU from the Office of the Private Education Commission.

There are 21 teachers, 12 extra teachers, 2 school officers and 6 pre-service teachers.

The Academic Support System
Teachers are given a huge responsibility to bring out the best of each student. Teachers must utilize different strategies, resources, approaches, and services to ensure that no child is left behind. Schools must also then provide the resources needed so that every teacher is equipped and every student is reaching his/her best potential.
The teachers of the school are part of the Professional Learning Community, and conduct meetings to ensure that teaching standards and learning competencies are met. The teachers ensure that they learn together for professional development.
The Satit Demonstration School also ensures that facilities like the following are utilized by the students to maximize learning:

Teaching System
Each school is unique with the approaches and methods used, with its philosophy and its values and focus in education. Each school is founded with a vision and mission which then becomes reflected in the day-to-day life in school.
The Satit Demonstration School of UDRU ensures that the 4 H’s of the learners are met. The 4 H’s would be the Head (Cognitive), the Heart (Affective), the Hand (Psychomotor) and Health.
This is observed as it is seen that the lessons that the teachers incorporate involve values, intelligent concepts, and creative projects. The learners are also trained to take care of their health during Wednesdays on their Girl and Boy Scout Trainings and in their Physical Education Subjects. The school also ensures that an Active Learning Approach is used to enhance learning. The school believes that the students learn by doing.
During class, the teachers develop the different skills of the learners in different fields, especially in Higher Order Thinking Skills. The school also has different clubs or organizations where students can freely join. Satit Demonstration School of UDRU also promotes after-school activities and tutoring. In addition to this, the school also promotes out-of-campus trips for the students to experience the world outside the school. Just recently, the school had their Sports Day.
Materials and Other Learning Resources
It is one of the greatest necessities of a teacher to provide materials during lessons. This is so that learners will be able to fully understand and integrate the lesson. Speakers outside Satit School share their knowledge and expertise to the students. Aside from the facilities mentioned above, the faculty of the school uses learning materials for their lessons. Some examples of this would be the following:

Measurement and Evaluation System
To make sure that the learners understood the lesson, teachers would give evaluations. The results of the evaluation would tell the teacher on whether or not she or he would proceed to the next lesson or give more attention to this. The Satit Demonstration School of UDRU uses a variety of evaluation tools. The learners are evaluated either through the use of workbooks, textbooks, worksheets or even through games or play.
The teacher I observed would usually give starts, comments or rewards to the learners who did good in their activity.
General Curriculum
The Satit Demonstration School of UDRU often based their curriculum on the textbook or workbook they have at hand. The flow and sequence of the textbook is usually the curriculum they follow. Likewise, their curriculum is also grounded on the values and principles of the school. The teachers would then create lesson plans based on this.
Satit Demonstration School has subjects like English, Mathematics, Science, Thai Language or Pasathai, Physical Education and Social Studies
Teaching Plan of Special Education
For my major, the teaching plan we use, which is the Individualized Educational Plan, is not being used in Satit Demonstration School. However, I believe that I was trained to be able to cater to the different and unique needs of every child. I believe that this aspect of my major can reflect in all of my teaching moments.
In Satit Demonstration School, however, I taught English. A sample of an English Teaching Plan from this school can be seen below.
